Early in the morning we found parking in San Francisco and we're getting ready to go to the starting line.
I'm all hyper to get this race going.
All runners are ready at the starting line. I already look forward running the Golden Gate bridge.
Sharp at 6 AM we were all off!
The weather looks awesome and I'm in a good mood.
Running throught Fisherman's Wharf at the beginning of the race towards the Golden Gate bridge.
The day is awakening too.
So far so good. The heat is not too bad right now with the overcast.
Getting closer to my bridge :)
Yeah, finally! I'm about to run out and back the Golden Gate Bridge.
Ran one way and now I'll go back...
Having a good time. This is definitely the highlight of the race.
Just so beautiful
Afterwards we kept running west along the beach.
This marathon was very nice in my opinion. Despite a hilly city the route was not as bad as I thought.
The weather was good most of the day with an ovecast sky.
Nearing the finishing line. During this time the heat started to kick in.
That's it. Crossed the finisher line in 4:47:33. I'm happy and it was a great run.
Due the heat kicking in I was in need of some more water.
My wife started to volunteer at the race handing out water just to be at the finisher line and to surprise me. It was awesome seeing her right there; right after finishing it. Linda you rock!
I love to sweat.
Volunteers taking off my chip. Royal threatment LMAO.
Let's have fun now!
